Renato Órdenes San Martín's work operates between the realms of research, art education and contemporary visual arts, and include sculpture, painting, installation, drawing and writing. He views art as a field of trans and interdisciplinary interactions, the work as exploration and process, as well as a pedagogical, critical and poetic practice.
Viewing the world as a fleeting apparition, the artist seeks to capture and translate the signs and marks it leaves behind through his intricate works on paper.
His work oscillates between reality and dreams; interpreting the places he inhabits, drawing upon the observations of daily life and the elements present within it to recompose new material relationships and visual fictions.
